Transient fungemia and Candida arthritis due to Candida zeylanoides.

摘要: A 37 year old man developed transient fungemia caused by Candida zeylanoides following a kidney and pancreas transplant. For the next seven months patient had signs symptoms of right knee arthritis.Candida zeylanoides was finally identified as aetiological agent. Treatment with intravenous amphotericin B was successful. To our knowledge this is first report of Candida zeylanoides arthritis.
