摘要: Injection of nutrients into the anoxic hypolimnion a small Precambrian Shield lake for 5 yr caused less eutrophication problem than discharging surface waters. Phytoplankton standing crop and production in whole averaged only 10–21% values nearby fertilized at surface. Five-year averages epilimnion were still lower: 5–8% those surface-fertilized lake. Analysis long-term trends chlorophyll nutrient concentrations revealed much slower rates increase lakes.Key words: eutrophication, injection, sediment–water interaction, nutrients, experimental lakes
