摘要: New technologies have had a major impact on the mapping of brain stem. Gene expression and inducible genetic fate revealed presence segmental organization, which includes two midbrain segments, isthmus, 11 rhombomeres. The cerebellum has been shown to be an outgrowth isthmus first rhombomere. new data argue that we should abandon use term ‘pons’ as regional descriptor ‘rostral hindbrain’ instead. High-resolution magnetic resonance imaging extended our ability map changes in stem over time.
