摘要: Until recently, ecological tests of invasiveness for transgenic plants have investigated traits with limited relevance, and so the fact that most shown no additional risk invasion is not surprising. Similarly, results to date provide us little confidence in opinion held by many biotechnology industry genetic engineering unconditionally safe. The experimental biosafety research has resulted a situation where companies some countries gained permission grow potentially “risky” on commercial scale, without substantial data quantifying they pose. Perhaps experiments organisms far been more useful generating new questions concepts assessment than providing generalisations about themselves. In cases predictions high degree uncertainty, or if sheer volume field releases overwhelms this stage assessment, monitoring potential long-term effects final method choice.
