摘要: BACKGROUND Lower limb critical ischemia is a major problem in dialysed patients. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the results of revascularization procedures, amputations and prosthetic rehabilitation amputees. METHODS In this retrospective study we examined charts selected dialysis Forty-eight patients had undergone amputation (4.5% population), 24 entered program. Widespread arterial calcification was common led to falsely elevated ankle-brachial pressure indices 9 14 limbs. Eight underwent revascularization. Subsequent carried out 4 +/- 4.5 months after (above knee 5 below 3). Of 16 who primary amputation, only 2 were above-knee Seven with toe or metatarsal went on 1.8 1.2 distal amputation. RESULTS No differences found between diabetic non-diabetic regarding number operations performed, level overall survival. Prosthetic considered successful 12 patients, partially 8, failed Patient survival time shortest those rehabilitation. A younger age confirmed favorable results, while long-standing diabetics bilateral amputees poor candidates. Patients more comparison 138 non-uremic revealed similar although hospitalization longer CONCLUSIONS Early definitive therapy essential when dealing ischemia. After diagnostic angiography, proximal should be performed where feasible. Primary indicated extensive foot infection gangrene. warranted most
