摘要: Physical activity is a key component of exploration and development. Poor motor proficiency, by limiting participation in physical social activities, can therefore contribute to poor psychological The current study examined the correlates performance setting where no locally validated measures skills previously existed. development an appropriate assessment schedule important avoid potential misclassification children’s performance. A cross-sectional was conducted among predominantly rural population. Boys (N = 148) girls (N = 160) aged between 8 11 years were randomly selected from five schools within Kilifi District Kenya. Variability significantly associated with number characteristics measured at child, (gender, nutritional status school exposure) household (household resources) neighbourhood levels (area residence). strongest effect sizes related exposure. provides preliminary evidence typically developing population age range that has not been studied. As well as being culturally appropriate, reliable, valid sensitive biological environmental correlates. Further, use composite scores seems strengthen magnitude differences seen groups.
