摘要: A historical cohort mortality study was conducted of 259 male employees a chemical plant where benzene has been used in large quantities. The group included all persons who were employed by the Company any time between January 1, 1947 and December 31, 1960. followed through 1977 at which 58 known deaths identified. only unusual finding four from lymphoreticular cancers when 1.1 would have expected on basis national rates. Three due to leukemia one caused multiple myeloma. In addition, had myeloma listed death certificate. findings are consistent with previous reports following occupational exposure raise possibility that could be linked benzene, also.
