摘要: Polystyrene (PS)/clay nanocomposites were synthesized by the emulsion polymerization of styrene in presence sodium ion-exchanged montmorillonite (Na+-MMT), demonstrating that strongly hydrophobic PS was intercalated into hydrophilic silicate layers. The examined means X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis. rheological properties PS/Na+-MMT also studied to exhibit more pronounced shear thinning behavior with increasing clay content.
