摘要: The general solution to the moment-preserving (MP) quantizer problem is presented. It shown that moment preserving related Gauss-Jacobi mechanical quadrature, output levels of N-level MP are N zeros an Nth degree orthogonal polynomial associated with input probability distribution function, and N-1 thresholds Christoffel numbers through Chebyshev-Markov-Stieltjes separation theorem. statistical convergence investigated. tables presented for uniform, Gaussian, Laplacian density functions. be block truncation coding. >
