Considering Symptomatic Spinal Epidural Lipomatosis in the Differential Diagnosis

摘要: Spinal epidural lipomatosis (SEL) is the abnormal accumulation of normal fat within spinal canal. It more frequent in those patients receiving chronic glucocorticoid therapy or cases endogenous hypercortisolism states. We report a case SEL patient with metastatic prostate cancer history steroid treatment as part his chemotherapy regimen, presenting clinical manifestations partial cord compression. Magnetic resonance imaging images lumbar spine revealed presence tumor suspicious for disease.
