摘要: The existence of an endogenous cannabinoid system was demonstrated conclusively with the discovery brain constituents capable activating receptors functionally. These compounds are synthesized by neuronal cells and inactivated through re-uptake enzymatic hydrolysis both neurons astrocytes. In analogy endorphins they can be referred to as endocannabinoids. Apart from identification their metabolic pathways, research carried out in past six years has focused on possible cellular molecular targets for actions studies have confirmed a similarity between endocannabinoids psychoactive substance marijuana, delta9(-)-tetrahydrocannabinol, suggested role modulation neurotransmitter action release.
