摘要: Abstract 15 women complaining of chronic constipation were included in a prospective open trial to determine the laxative action and minimal effective dose lactitol. Through administration increasing doses, an ED50 0.25 g/kg/day, was established. During 15-day treatment period at dose, all patients had reduced symptoms as compared with previous control period. Side effects minor intensity frequently recorded (flatulence, rumblings, wind, and, less frequently, abdominal cramps or nausea). Thus, use lactitol for symptomatic deserves further clinical studies better its indications benefit.
