摘要: In Europe, the technology development of high-speed trains is increasingly exposed to societal needs, driven by ICT advancements, external traditional design. Together with liberalisation rail markets and increase pressures from other transport modes leads an unprecedented situation where planers, operators suppliers have take decision in this complex competitive environment. In such broadening elements influencing design and, thus, product process, survey here be presented, it was not observed options assessment or strategic agenda setting visions shifting same way. For train industry new trend requires going beyond past 15 20 years’ practices “sector endogenous” structurally closed methods approaches a broader interaction widening actors now capable being active contributors innovation digitalization. This way understand European readiness for undertaking supra systemic challenge, paper presents results conducted authors 74 representatives chain regarding which extent embedding considered drafting their projects. This work becomes even more pertinent if that debate open railway (not exclusive trains) as they are launching joint initiative SHIFT2RAIL, revise ERRAC (the Rail Research Advisory Council) mandate enter research cycle framework Horizon 2020.
