摘要: Autoimmune mechanisms have been proposed to play a role in the pathogenesis of primary (essential) hypertension. Autoantibodies against α 1 -adrenergic receptor described patients with malignant and secondary To investigate incidence autoantibodies -adrenoceptor hypertension, we examined immunoglobulin fractions sera from 54 hypertension 26 normotensive control subjects for presence -adrenoceptor. Sera 24 (44%) 3 (12%) were positive. An epitope analysis 16 autoantibody-positive revealed that two thirds cases, antibodies directed first extracellular loop one third, second. The had positive chronotropic effect on isolated neonatal rat cardiomyocytes, an was blocked by antagonists. Since functional characteristics showed no desensitization phenomena, they may elevating peripheral vascular resistance promoting cardiac hypertrophy
