摘要: Arthroscopic surgery appears to be a safe, minimally invasive and effective method for treating internal derangements of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), reducing pain increasing mandibular range motion approximately 80% patients. Although these results are encouraging, they largely based on retrospective, uncontrolled short-term studies. The landmark observation that lysis lavage in only upper compartment TMJ produce successful clinical without repositioning disc has prompted clinicians question importance position as significant factor etiology dysfunction. there prospective, controlled, randomized studies indicating arthrocentesis arthroscopic have comparable success rates management acute closed lock, similar long-term lacking. Until been done, roles remain unclear.
