摘要: It is widely acknowledged that neural stem cells generate new neurons through the process of neurogenesis in adult brain. In mammals, occurs two areas CNS: subventricular zone and subgranular dentate gyrus hippocampus. The newly generated display neuronal morphology, action potentials receive functional synaptic inputs, their properties being equivalent to those mature neurons. Alzheimer's disease (AD) widespread cause dementia, an age-related, progressive irreversible neurodegenerative results massive death deterioration cognitive functions. Here, we overview relations between AD, try analyse controversies field. We also summarise recent data obtained triple transgenic model AD show time- region-specific impairment neurogenesis, which may account for early changes plasticity impairments develop prior gross alterations could underlie rescue therapies.
