摘要: Abstract Recent development in lightning discharges including transient luminous events (TLEs) and global electric circuit are discussed. Role of solar activity, convective available potential energy, surface temperature difference land–ocean surfaces on convection process Different processes discharge initiation Events like sprites halos caused by the upward quasi-electrostatic fields associated with intense cloud-to-ground while jets (blue starter, blue jet, gigantic jet) charge imbalance thunderstorm during but they not a particular flash. Elves generated electromagnetic pulse radiated discharges. The present understanding is also reviewed. Relation between activity/global climate
