摘要: Background—Heart development is tightly regulated by signaling events acting on a defined number of progenitor and differentiated cardiac cells. Although loss function these pathways leads to congenital malformation, the consequences cell or embryonic cardiomyocyte are less clear. In this study, we tested hypothesis that mouse hearts exhibit robust mechanism for regeneration after extensive loss. Methods Results—By combining conditional ablation approach with novel blastocyst complementation strategy, generated murine embryos full spectrum ablation. Remarkably, up 60% cells at day 7.5 was well tolerated permitted embryo survival. Ablation cardiomyocytes similar degree (50% 60%) 9.0 could be fully rescued residual myocytes no obvious adult functional deficit. both...
