摘要: This thesis presents a purely empirical approach for the estimation of effective bandwidth aggregated traffic flows, suitably accurate use within engineering based network performance optimisation strategies, such as QoS-aware planning and admission control. The algorithm proposed, is an off-line approach, which uses packet trace collected from processes it through FIFO queue. Based on queue buffer analysis, appropriate service rate that ensures stated QoS targets delay are maintained chosen to represent trace. evaluated in two scenarios. first cost efficient process establishing network-wide demand matrix available accounting data.
