摘要: Research on human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and induced pluripotent (iPS) is currently a field of great potential in biomedicine. These represent highly valuable tool for developmental biology studies, disease models, drug screening toxicity. The ultimate goal hESCs iPS cell research the treatment diseases or disorders which there no existing therapies are only partially effective. Despite disproportionate short-term hopes generated, putting too much pressure scientists, international scientific community making rapid progress understanding cells. Nonetheless, efforts have to be made provide an answer still quite basic questions concerning their biology. Moreover, translation clinical applications replacement therapy requires prior solution ethical barriers. recent development has provided strong alternative overcome issues hESCs. However, in-depth characterization genetic epigenetic features, as well differentiation remains undertaken. This chapter will describe, precisely, what critical are, where barriers stand, how we them. Only then, shall finally discover whether allow building reproducible they really safe tool, with regenerative medicine.
