摘要: The aim of this study was to report the incidence incisional hernias following midline laparotomy incisions after 12 months and 8 years. 374 patients who underwent between August 1989 December 1990 were included. wounds closed with a continuous suture technique monitored by length wound ratio. hernia, defined as palpable defect in fascia or protrusion beyond level, at Early dehiscence occurred 3 (1%) infection 32 (9%). At 12-month examination 58 (20%) detected 292 patients. After years 142 examined 5 (3%) found. All that caused inconvenience required surgical repair follow-up. Most appearing later have probably been overlooked first examination.
