摘要: Abstract Transcription factors are known to regulate gene transcription through the recognition and binding of specific DNA sequences in promoter or enhancer regions many genes. Keratoconus is a cornea-thinning disease which upregulated expression degradative enzymes downregulated protease inhibitors have been demonstrated. In view alteration for multiple proteins, five common factors, AP1, AP2, CREB, Sp1, NF-κB were examined their possible roles keratoconus. Immunostaining experiments Western blotting showed that Sp1 exhibited enhanced keratoconus corneas. Increased consensus sequence oligonucleotides with nuclear extracts from epithelium corneas was also seen by gel mobility shift assays. This believed be first demonstration connecting human disease. The elevated may contribute enzyme inhibitor abnormalities found
