摘要: Behavioral-based safety (BBS) is an evolving process that uses positive reinforcement to change unsafe individual behavior and improve performance, as part of a culture. As this research indicates, BBS strongly affects the on maritime operations. Utilizing attitude questionnaires, paper presents effort in asserting attitudes Greek officers their opinions order introduce domain. This paper’s scope present current results our statistical analysis sample 905 officers. Such large provides understanding respondents. The application numerous tests (Krause et al., Safety Sci 32:1–18, 1999) factor population showed fatigue perception, communication climate, stress recognition, teamwork perception management, culture, human limitations are nontechnical aspects influence performance findings NTUA’s highlight importance specific skills such or seem contribute effective implementation industry. Indicatively, it surprising although recognize main cause error environment, they do not suggest rest potential solution overcome it. Nontechnical proved have significant, strong relationship with age, officers’ rank, type vessels; effect, employing these may lead development efficient framework.
