摘要: The present study was to evaluate the radiomitigative effect of naringenin (NRG) on modulation ionizing radiation (IR)-induced spleen injury. Rats were exposed 12 Gy (3Gy/two times/week). NRG (50mg/Kg), orally given one hour after first dose, and daily continued during irradiation period. sacrificed 1 day last dose radiation. showed a significant decrease malondialdehyde, hydrogen peroxide with elevation superoxide dismutase, catalase glutathione peroxidase activities content. Moreover, confirmed intracellular defense mechanisms through activation nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like2 (Nrf2) haem oxygenase-1 (HO-1) levels their protein expression. In addition, deactivated factor-κB (NF-κB) reduced pro-inflammatory cytokines. Further, positive in haematological values (WBCs, RBCs, Hb, Hct% PLt). conclusion, these results suggested that reversed IR-induced redox-imbalance rat spleen.
