Exploring the link between parental acceptance and young adult adjustment

摘要: Two hundred and ninety-two university undergraduates participated in an investigation exploring the developmental antecedents of perceived acceptance. Students completed questionnaires concerning their psychological adjustment perceptions acceptance they received from parents. Questionnaires were mailed to both students' parents asking them evaluate children's positive negative qualities. Regression analyses indicated that parents' views personal characteristics predicted reports adjustment. Perceived mediated relationship between children Implications for a social–cognitive theory are discussed.
