摘要: The selection of specific elastic response spectra according to soil categories is the easiest way account for site effects in engineering projects and general-purpose hazard maps. Most international seismic codes make use average shear wave velocity upper 30 m (Vs,30) discriminate categories, although some doubts arose about capability Vs,30 predict actual amplification. In this work we propose two classifications which fundamental frequency (f0) becomes either an alternative or a complement Vs,30. performance derived categorizations achieved through estimation standard deviation associated ground motion prediction equations acceleration spectra, considering recordings extracted from Italian strong data base. results indicate that there significant reduction when classification based on couple variables Vs,30–f0, single f0 also leads satisfactory results, comparable with those obtained assuming scheme
