摘要: The change of density liquid water under pressure has been calculated from the speed sound u by fitting u−2 as a polynomial in temperature and pressure, integrating with respect to allowing for difference between isothermal adiabatic compressions. By comparing calculations done different methods on same data it appears that densities so obtained are accurate about 20 ppm at 1 kbar. These 100 greater than us some years ago direct measurement compressions range 0–150 °C 0–1 kbar relative stainless steel vessel. It seems likely compressibility vessel used this work is too high 0.1 Mbar−1. A correction proposed bring 0–100 °C into agreement values sound. should apply 100–150 °C, corrected ...
