摘要: Mitochondrial fusion and fission are important for a great variety of cellular functions, including energy metabolism, development, aging cell death. Many the core components mediating mitochondrial dynamics in human cells have been first identified mechanistically analyzed model organisms, such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Caenorhabditis elegans Drosophila melanogaster. In particular, functions FZO/mitofusin Mgm1/EAT-3/OPA1 Dnm1/DRP1 remarkably well conserved yeasts, worms, flies mammals. On other hand, mechanisms to coordinate regulate activity these molecular machines appear be more diverse different organisms. Here, I will discuss how S. C. contributed our current understanding machineries dynamic behaviour mitochondria.
