The Mg-suite and the highland crust: An unsolved enigma

摘要: Most of the rocks returned from highlands are polymict breccias, pulverized by massive bombardment. However, some monomict breccias with low siderophile element contents considered to be 'pristine' that represent original igneous components making up highland crust. Three principal pristine constituents make lunar crust: ferroan anorthosites, Mg-suite, and KREEP. A discussion these three is presented.
