摘要: A bi-static continuous wave radar system and related methods for detecting incoming threats from ballistic projectiles includes a remote source of RF illumination, local receiver installed in one or more target aircraft. first receiving channel acquires direct path illumination the provides reference signal, second scatter signal reflected by projectile. processor coupled to each corrects Doppler offset induced relative motion, isolates narrowband signals derive signatures characteristic projectile, executing appropriate algorithms, compares derived modeled stored memory. If comparison yields substantial similarity, outputs warning sufficient initiate defensive countermeasures.
