Syntheses, crystal structures, circular dichroism, and magnetic properties of chiral dinuclear and polymeric nickel(II) compounds

摘要: Abstract Chiral dinuclear nickel(II) complexes, [Ni(LR,R)(C2O4)Ni(LR,R)](ClO4)2·4CH3CN (3) and [Ni(LS,S)(C2O4)Ni(LS,S)](ClO4)2·4CH3CN (4) chiral polymeric compounds, [Ni(LR,R)(CrO4)]n·2H2O·CH3CN (5) [Ni(LS,S)(CrO4)]n·2H2O·CH3CN (6) have been synthesized characterized (LR,R/S,S = 1,8-di((R/S)-α-methylbenzyl)-1,3,6,8,10,13-hexaazacyclotetradecane). These compounds were by X-ray crystallography, circular dichroism, molecular magnetism. The ions in 3 4 a distorted octahedral geometry coordination with four nitrogens of macrocyclic ligand pendents folded conformation two oxygens an oxalate ion the cis positions. 5 6 planar chromate axial Complexes show strong antiferromagnetic interactions [3: g = 2.36, J/kB = −29.9 K (−20.8 cm−1); 4: g = 2.18, J/kB = −25.5 K (−17.7 cm−1)], while exhibit weak couplings [5: g = 2.25, J/kB = −1.20 K (−0.83 cm−1); 6: J/kB = −0.68 K (−0.47 cm−1)]. former complexes occur via oxalato bridges within dimers, latter are through 1D polymers. dichroism (CD) spectrum has exhibited negative peaks at 336 533 nm, that displayed enantiomeric pattern. CD appeared absorption above ca. 550 nm, shown pattern same wavelength region.
