摘要: We argue for the existence of plasma balls-metastable, nearly homogeneous lumps gluon at just above deconfinement energy density-in a class large-N confining gauge theories that undergo first-order transitions. Plasma balls decay over time scale order N 2 by thermally radiating hadrons temperature. In have dual description is well approximated theory gravity in warped geometry, we propose map to family classically stable finite-energy black holes localized IR. present conjecture qualitative nature large-mass such backgrounds and numerically construct these particular geometries. These novel properties; particular, their temperature approaches nonzero constant value large mass. Black shrink as they Hawking radiation; towards end this process, resemble ten-dimensional Schwarzschild holes, which are small balls. Our work may find practical applications study physics from viewpoint.
