摘要: Methods provided by nuclear medicine may be helpful in diagnosis of Parkinson's disease (PD). For that purpose, the sensitivity iodine-123 metaiodobenzylguanidine ([123I]MIBG) scintigraphy and [123I]FP-CIT single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) was studied patients with PD onset (Hoehn Yahr Stage 1). Cerebral cardiac [123I]MIBG were carried out 18 idiopathic disease, according to Hoehn 1. quantification purposes, we calculated striatum/posterior lobe binding FP-CIT heart-to-mediastinum (H/M) count ratio regarding MIBG scintigraphy. In 15 patients, observed markedly reduced or asymmetric striatal tracer accumulation. affected striatum significantly lower as compared unaffected side. Striatal correlated motor part Unified rating scale (UPDRS) but not age, duration, gender. delivered significant pathological results 13 patients. There no correlation between H/M relating UPDRS, gender; however, According clinical criteria, it might difficult prove slight symptoms these cases, SPECT contribute early PD. addition, functional loss nigrostriatal sympathetic neurons seems coupled closely. © 2005 Movement Disorder Society
