On some properties of axicons

摘要: The radial and axial pump power distribution in the line focus of a cone (as simplest example an axicon) is discussed. It also shown that four conical surfaces covered with antireflection coatings can make efficient polarizer for tangential polarization light beam. Glass cones be used as optics laser-pumped lasers. advantages novel pumping scheme are discussed detail cases dye-laser x-ray laser pumping.
