摘要: Abstract Asthma is a chronic disease associated with airway constriction due to inflammation caused by eosinophils, mast cells, and T lymphocytes, leading serious illness in children. The eotaxin gene family has been shown play an important role the patho-genesis of asthma. We hypothesized that distinctive variations among four seasons Korea may affect expression polymorphisms, especially examined possible effects birth sea-son (spring, March-May; summer, June-August; fall, September-November; winter, December-February) on phenotype asthma All SNP data sets eotaxin-2 eotaxin-3 genes were col-lected from 78 patients 101 controls. Here, we investigated season ex-pression Korean Using HAPLOTYPE procedure HTR method SAS/Genetics, showed children born spring summer show significant haplotypes both eo-taxin-2 genes. Thus, polymorphisms vary season. Keywords: asthma, haplotype, eotaxin, children,
