摘要: The paper presents the results of recent tests on diagonal shear failure reinforced concrete beams without stirrups. indicate a significant size effect and show good agreement with Bazant's law for effect. Scatter test is much lower than that previously found by studying extensive data from literature, which have not been obtained geometrically similar beams. also preventing bond slip longituudinal bars causes an increase brittleness number beam. It concluded current design approach, intended to provide safety against crack initiation load, should be replaced or supplemented approach based ultimate in fracture mechanics type, due release stored energy must taken into account.
