摘要: We have proved different methods for yttrium and erbium 2-methoxyethoxides preparation. Our aim was to prepare a solution applicable at the subsequent sol–gel preparation of Yb3Al5O12 garnet thin films. tested direct reaction metal with 2-methoxyethanol in presence HgCl2, electrolytic dissolution metals, an alcohol interchange using isopropoxides and, finally, exchange acetates 2-methoxyethanol. Because our demand without necessity purification, we omitted chlorides as source cations. The formation alkoxides examined by IR spectroscopy each case. Both reactions were fully successful; only case acetate use, arising acetic acid forms ester immediately. metals did not achieve full yield; on other hand, after electrolysis application, dissolved readily. However, both cases, filtration either unreacted (direct reaction) or eroded pieces (electrolysis) necessary. has be processed under inert atmosphere these are less convenient use deposition. Er:Yb3Al5O12 films deposited silicon substrates also prepared two appropriate intermediates—the solutions from isopropoxides. layers monophase; however, microstructure luminescent properties influenced used. Er:YbAG exhibited sharp discreet luminescence peaks Er3+ transition 4I13/2 → 4I15/2.
