摘要: The prevalence of cardiac diastolic dysfunction and heart failure with preserved ejection, a major cause morbidity mortality in the western world, is increasing due, part, to increases obesity type 2 diabetes. Characteristics include increased myocardial stiffness impaired left ventricular (LV) relaxation that characterized by prolonged isovolumic LV slow filling. Obesity, insulin resistance diabetes, especially females promote activation mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) signaling resultant oxidative stress, maladaptive immune responses, inflammation, impairment coronary blood flow interstitial fibrosis. This review highlights findings from recent surge research. To this end it our contemporary understanding molecular mechanisms MR regulation genetic, epigenetic posttranslational modifications associated resistance, also explores potential preventative therapeutic strategies directed prevention ejection. article part Special Issue entitled: Genetic control edited Dr. Jun Ren & Yingmei Zhang.
