摘要: A chemical actinometer has been devised whose high sensitivity and precision depends upon the spectrophotometric determination of photolysis products potassium ferrioxalate with 1:10 phenanthroline. The is some hundreds times greater than that uranyl oxalate actinometer. behaviour investigated in detail at 3650 to 3663 A, tests also show it suitable for use over a wide range wavelengths. approximate quantum efficiency determined twelve wave-lengths between 4900 2537 A. advantages possible applications measurement small doses radiation are discussed.
