摘要: Landfarming is becoming one of the most preferred treatment technologies for oily sludge disposal in Arabian Gulf region general, and Kingdom Saudi Arabia particular. This technology considered to be, economical, energy efficient, environmentally friendly with minimal residue problems. Application this simply based on studies conducted United States America Europe. There have hardly been any scientific evaluate performance landfarming under arid conditions. Recently, detailed field experimental study has degradation process health risk issues The observed volatilization as main hydrocarbon degradation, which can cause significantly high concentration airborne volatile organic compounds (VOCs) atmosphere leading serious human onsite workers. It particularly true early phase (first 2 months from initial loading). paper elaborates these findings detail.
