Strain rate and temperature dependence of dynamic shear properties of Al–Sc alloy

摘要: AbstractThe dynamic shear deformation behaviour and fracture characteristics of Al–Sc alloy are studied using a split Hopkinson torsional bar at strain rates 800, 1800 2800 s−1 temperatures −150, 25 300°C. The experimental results indicate that the strain, rate temperature all have significant influence on mechanical properties alloy. At constant temperature, flow stress, work hardening rate, yield strength, coefficient, sensitivity increase with increasing while activation energy decreases.
