摘要: The Deep Mixing Method (DMM), a deep in-situ stabilization technique using cement and/or lime as stabilizing agent, is often applied to improve soft soils. Among several improvement patterns, the group column type has been extensively used treat subsoil of lightweight structures. A series centrifuge model tests was performed investigate effects external load condition and strength on failure behavior columns improved ground. foundations with different were subjected various combinations vertical horizontal loads in 30 g acceleration field order establish envelopes vertical-horizontal loading plane. show that DMM ground involves either rupture or collapse columns, depending strength. It also found each shows shear bending its location case breaking failure. experimental data are compared FEM calculations determine envelopes. paper describes for patterns well test procedure.
