The Validity and Structure of Culture-Level Personality Scores: Data From Ratings of Young Adolescents

摘要: We examined properties of culture-level personality traits in ratings targets (N = 5,109) aged 12 to 17 24 cultures. Aggregate scores were generalizable across gender, age, and relationship groups showed convergence with from previous studies self-reports observer adults, but they unrelated national character stereotypes. Trait profiles also cross-study agreement within most cultures, eight which had not previously been studied. Multidimensional scaling that Western non-Western cultures clustered along a dimension related Extraversion. A factor analysis replicated earlier findings broad Extraversion factor, generally resembled the structure found individuals. Continued aggregate is warranted.
