摘要: To gain insight into the passage of androstenedione (A4) through salivary gland, we measured concentrations plasma total (TA4), free (FA4), and (SA4) during administration dexamethasone synthetic corticotropin to control subjects hirsute women compared these data with (TT), (FT), testosterone (ST) concentrations. TA4 FA4 were significantly lower in throughout (0, 15, 45, 75 min) (P less than 0.05). SA4 was only follicular phase at 0 15 min. There no significant difference between increments response corticotropin. The concentration min not different from FA4. At 45 after administration, however, slightly higher 0.01). In women, all times TT, FT, ST about twofold throughout. both groups, three as high FT 0.001). SA4:ST ratio FA4:FT groups 0.001) because similar or even groups. Both ratios except for luteal phase. Our are compatible 17-hydroxysteroid oxidoreductase activity gland. If A4 T is attributed this hypothetical enzymatic activity, it would suggest a more rapid conversion group.
