Association of depression and anxiety with reduced quality of life in patients with predialysis chronic kidney disease

摘要: Summary Aim:  Although depression and anxiety are the most common psychological problems among dialysis patients, little is known about association between depression, quality of life (QOL) in patients with predialysis chronic kidney disease (CKD). Therefore, we assessed prevalence anxiety, their QOL CKD. Methods:  Two hundred eight (male 61.1%) a mean age 55.7 ± 13.7 years an estimated glomerular filtration rate < 60 ml/min/1.73 m2 were enrolled. Depression Hospital Anxiety Scale. Patients scores ≥ 8 diagnosed disorders respectively. The WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire was used to assess patient QOL. Results:  (47.1%) (27.6%) did not differ across CKD stages. correlated positively age, employment, income, education, comorbidity index, haemoglobin level, albumin concentration score, negatively all domain scores. significantly QOL, but socioeconomic factors. In multiple regression analysis, independent factors associated depression. linear independently after adjusted for alcohol use, level concentration. Conclusions:  have high which reduced QOL. Early detection active interventions should be considered improve these patients.
