摘要: We report the heterologous expression, structure, and antimicrobial activity of a lasso peptide, ubonodin, encoded in genome Burkholderia ubonensis. The topology ubonodin is unprecedented amongst peptides, with 18 its 28 amino acids found mechanically bonded loop segment. Ubonodin inhibits RNA polymerase vitro has potent against several pathogenic members genus, most notably B. cepacia multivorans, causative agents lung infections cystic fibrosis patients.
