摘要: Abstract The paper presents new method for production of closed-cell Al foams improved sound absorbing ability with no machining operations. Opening the structure solid foamed is provided by micrometer sized cracks lengthways eutectic domains created finish heat treatment that includes heating below solidus temperature followed water quenching. presence through provides interconnection cells, making them like Helmholtz micro-perforated resonators and ensuring increase 15% absorption coefficient. Processing parameters foaming required transformation closed cells into are discussed specified.
