摘要: Abstract In this paper experimental results are presented for the flow of elasticoviscous fluids in thin films held between parallel horizontal circular flat plates. Specifically, we consider case when plates forced to separate by an applied load. The discussed context lubrication properties as well from a fundamental fluid mechanics point view. On theoretical side, existing analyses present study. Recent theories considered, with particular emphasis placed on effect including plate inertia corresponding analyses. It is found that predict opposing and most not capable even qualitative agreement those published earlier other authors. One theory, however, does provide findings both standard squeeze-film considered report, Deborah number too large. attempt include some meet success since physically unrealistic obtained.
