摘要: Abstract The study evaluated the lipid accumulation potential of bacteria isolated from dairy effluent scum by valorization wastewater as a renewable feedstock for biodiesel production. Three oleaginous (i.e. DS-1, DS-6, and DS-7) were screened on basis their (>20% content) productivity glucose-based medium. effect different carbon sources lactose, sucrose, starch, glucose, xylose) capacity bacterial isolates was evaluated. rod-shaped bacterium DS-7 could accumulate 90% with 1.2 g/l·d using lactose sole source carbon. efficiently utilize (~50% reduction in BOD) reasonably high (72.78%), biomass production (4.29 g/l) (0.727 g/l·d). lipids accumulated mostly neutral contained fatty acids chain length C14:0-C18:0, confirmed nile red staining nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy gas chromatography (GC) analysis acid methyl esters (FAME) revealed that transesterified are suitable applications.
