摘要: The elastic properties of monoclinic hafnium oxide were studied as functions porosity, temperature and grain size. An important finding this study was that is subject to microcracking when the size exceeds a critical value between 2 3 mu m. behavior moduli with porosity for crack-free typical polycrystalline ceramics. nature thermal expansion internal friction supported finding. microcracked material exhibited trends similar those observed other materials. However, some new characteristics effects in study. increase associated microcrack healing process. It also found there an atmospheric effect enhances growth. Additionally, treatments result significant changes system.
